I’m a versatile indoor vine with arrowhead-shaped leaves that change form as I grow, adding soft texture to homes.
I'm a climbing or trailing plant with arrow-shaped leaves that start mostly pink when young and develop more green variegation as they mature. My most captivating feature is my beautiful pink coloration—ranging from soft blush to bright bubblegum pink, often with green edges and veins.I'm a relatively fast grower and can be trained to climb a moss pole or allowed to trail gracefully from hanging baskets.I'm sometimes called "Pink Arrowhead Vine" or "Pink Nephthytis" due to my leaf shape.
I am a cultivated variety of Syngonium podophyllum, which is native to tropical rainforests in Latin America.
I prefer consistently moist but not soggy soil.Water me when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry—usually once a week.I'm sensitive to both overwatering and underwatering—my leaves will droop when thirsty.Reduce watering in winter when my growth slows.
I thrive in bright, indirect light.Medium to bright indirect light helps maintain my vibrant pink coloration.I can tolerate lower light but may lose some pink variegation and become more green.Avoid direct sun, which can scorch my delicate leaves.
I enjoy average room temperatures between 18°C and 27°C.I'm sensitive to cold—keep me away from temperatures below 15°C and cold drafts.I appreciate moderate to high humidity.
Use a well-draining potting mix with good organic matter.Choose a pot with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.Plant me at the same depth as I was in my nursery container.I can be grown in hanging baskets or trained to climb a moss pole or trellis.Pinch back growing tips occasionally to encourage bushier growth.I root easily from stem cuttings in water or soil.
Feed me with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer.A fertilizer with micronutrients can help maintain my vibrant colors. No fertilizer needed in fall and winter.
Scientific Name: Syngonium podophyllum 'Pink' (various cultivars including 'Neon', 'Pink Splash')Common Names: Pink Arrowhead Vine, Pink GoosefootPlant Family: AraceaePlant Type: Indoor foliage plant
I am toxic to cats and dogs if ingested due to calcium oxalate crystals. Please keep me out of reach of pets.
I'm a good air purifier, helping to remove common indoor toxins like formaldehyde and benzene from your home environment.
Vibrant pink foliage adds cheerful color to any spaceFast-growing and easy to propagateVersatile—can be grown as climber or trailerAdaptable to various indoor conditionsRelatively low maintenance once established
Loss of pink color – Not enough light; move to a brighter locationYellow leaves – Usually from overwateringBrown leaf tips – Low humidity or chemical sensitivity to tap waterLeggy growth – Insufficient light, causing sparse foliagePests – Occasionally spider mites, mealybugs, or aphids
With proper care, I can thrive for 5–10 years or more indoors! I'm a vigorous grower that will continuously produce new pink leaves, and I'm easy to propagate, ensuring you can always renew your plant and share my pink beauty with friends.
