All Details

I am the Rose Kashmiri, the cold-climate jewel of the mountains. My velvety, deep crimson blooms and intense, sweet fragrance are hardened by crisp air, symbolizing resilience and passionate beauty against a backdrop of rugged, majestic landscapes.

I am a hardy, cold-tolerant shrub rose, a specific variety or local selection celebrated in the Kashmir region for its exceptional fragrance, rich color, and ability to thrive in cooler climates.

Cultivated in the temperate valley regions of Kashmir, India; adapted to colder winters and mild summers.

Water regularly, ensuring deep watering to establish roots. Tolerates cooler, moist soils better than many roses but requires good drainage.

Requires full sun (at least 6 hours daily) for strong growth and optimal flowering, even in cooler climates.

Thrives in 10-25°C; very cold-hardy, tolerating freezing winters with dormancy, but needs protection from harsh winds.

Plant in rich, well-drained loamy soil amended with compost. Space 1-1.5 meters apart for good air circulation.

Feed with a balanced rose fertilizer or well-rotted manure in early spring as new growth appears.

Likely a variant of Rosa damascena (Damask rose) or a hardy Rosa hybrid; locally known as Kashmiri Gulab; Family: Rosaceae.

Mildly toxic to cats and dogs. Thorns pose a physical hazard, and ingestion may cause gastrointestinal upset.

Low; primarily grown for its supreme ornamental and aromatic value, including rose water and attar production.

Prized for producing highly fragrant petals used in making rose water, perfumes (attar), and culinary delights; adds stunning color and scent to cold-climate gardens.

Can be susceptible to black spot and powdery mildew, especially in humid conditions; aphid infestations during new growth.

Long-lived perennial shrub; can live for 20+ years with proper care, growing 1.2-1.8 meters tall in ideal conditions.

Everyday 8:30AM to 6:30PM
