All Details
I am a graceful and elegant foliage plant, admired for my finely cut, deeply serrated leaves that grow in slender, arching clusters. Commonly known as Falsa / False Aralia, my leaves are dark green to coppery-green and give a soft, feathery, almost lace-like appearance, making me a sophisticated choice for indoor décor.
I am a tropical ornamental plant with finely divided, lace-like leaves. My graceful foliage makes me a popular indoor décor plant.
Native to New Caledonia in the South Pacific, I am now cultivated worldwide as a houseplant.
I prefer evenly moist soil but not soggy. Overwatering causes root rot, while underwatering leads to leaf drop.
I thrive in bright, indirect light. Direct sun can scorch my delicate leaves, while low light slows growth.
I flourish in warm climates between 18–28°C. I am sensitive to cold drafts and frost, so I must be kept indoors in cooler regions.
Plant me in well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter. I grow upright and slender, making me suitable for narrow spaces indoors.
Feed me with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season. Reduce feeding in winter.
Botanical name: Dizygotheca elegantissima (syn. Schefflera elegantissima). Family: Araliaceae.
I am toxic to pets if ingested due to saponins. Keep me out of reach of cats and dogs.
Moderate; I help improve indoor air quality but my main value is ornamental.
I provide elegant foliage, vertical greenery, and tropical ambiance indoors. My slender form fits well in modern interiors.
I am prone to spider mites, aphids, and leaf drop if stressed. Inconsistent watering and low humidity are common issues.
I can live for many years indoors with proper care, continuously producing new foliage.
