I am a neatly shaped ornamental tree, admired for my dense, glossy green leaves trained into a perfect round form. Commonly known as Ball Ficus, I bring a clean, elegant, and professional look to gardens, entrances, pathways, and commercial spaces. My structured shape makes me a popular choice for modern landscaping.
I am a cultivated form of Ficus benjamina, pruned into a ball-shaped canopy. My ornamental appeal lies in my symmetry and glossy foliage.
Native to Southeast Asia and Australia, I am now widely grown worldwide as an indoor and outdoor decorative plant.
I prefer moderate watering. Allow the topsoil to dry slightly between waterings. Overwatering causes root rot.
I thrive in bright, indirect light. Outdoors, I tolerate partial sun. Indoors, I need a well-lit spot.
I flourish in warm climates between 20–30°C. I am sensitive to cold drafts and frost.
Plant me in well-draining soil. I am often grown in pots and pruned regularly to maintain my ball shape.
Feed me with balanced liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season.
Botanical name: Ficus benjamina (topiary form). Family: Moraceae.
I am toxic to pets if ingested, causing stomach upset.
High; I help remove indoor pollutants like formaldehyde and benzene.
I provide ornamental beauty, air purification, and a sense of order in landscapes and interiors.
I am prone to leaf drop if stressed by overwatering, low light, or sudden changes.
I can live for decades with proper care, continuously regenerating foliage and maintaining my sculpted form.
