All Details
I’m a sacred evergreen tree that produces textured blue seeds revered for spirituality, calmness, and energy-balancing properties.
I am a medium to large evergreen tree with dense foliage and smooth grey bark. My fruits bear the iconic Rudraksha seeds, known for their unique mukhi (faces) and spiritual potency. I grow naturally in subtropical and Himalayan foothill regions. I am hardy, long-living, and considered a symbol of divine connection and protection.
I originate from the Himalayan foothills, Nepal, India, Indonesia, and parts of Southeast Asia.
I prefer consistently moist soil but not waterlogged conditions. Water me 2–3 times a week during summer. Reduce watering in winter. Avoid standing water, as it may cause root rot. Young plants need regular watering for healthy establishment.
I grow best in bright, indirect sunlight to partial shade. Too much harsh direct sunlight can scorch young leaves. Mature trees tolerate full sunlight well.
I thrive between 15°C and 30°C. I prefer a warm, humid climate. Frost or extreme cold can damage my growth. Ideal for Indian tropical and subtropical regions.
Choose a spot with fertile, well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball. Plant at the same depth. Water thoroughly and mulch lightly. Provide partial shade during early growth. Support young plants with a stick to grow straight. I can be grown in open ground for best results.
Feed me with organic compost twice a year. Apply vermicompost or cow dung manure during the growing season. A mild NPK 19-19-19 once every 2–3 months helps boost growth. Avoid chemical overuse, as I prefer organic nutrition.
